Phi Phi Islands Of the two islands, Phi Phi Don is the larger and more developed. The smaller, Phi Phi Le, recently took the title role in the film adaptation of The Beach - starring opposite Leonardo Di
Caprio. Despite misinformed protests and bad press regarding environmental damage to the island during filming, Phi Phi Le is, in fact, in better condition now than before filming began. International environmentalists report that the removal of two tons of tourist rubbish before filming could begin, did not adversely affect the island's delicate ecological balance.

Lon Island
The beach comprises of soft white sand and is cleaned daily. A barrier
was installed to discourage boat anchoring to protect and regenerate the
coral reef and to protect the swimmers.
Being a north-facing beach, the morning sun is ideal for soaking up some
rays, but in the afternoon the shade on the beach afforded by Beach Acorn
and Coconut trees is a welcome respite from the tropical heat.
With minimal currents and clear unpolluted waters, the beach is the ideal
place for swimming for all ages.
With sailing ships, both new and old, large and small, silently ghosting
their way in and out of the bay, sleek speedboats cruising by, long tails
plying a fast disappearing trade, a day on the beach always has a fasinating
view.
Unknown to many of the local operators, Lon Island and an adjacent island
(which we are keeping as a secret ), have a number of excellent snorkeling
sites where you can explore the marvels of the ocean.
